    French e-Invoicing Compliance: Certificate Update

On July 30, we are updating the technical certificate used to secure electronic invoices in France to our own CertEurope RGS* certificate.

This is an internal upgrade to our compliance infrastructure, and no action is required on your part.

    Your compliance stays fully protected

In France, e-invoicing compliance relies on a documented business audit trail, known as the Piste d’Audit Fiable (PAF), under Article 289 of the French Tax Code (CGI).

Tradeshift automatically maintains a complete audit trail for every invoice on the platform. It logs precisely when an invoice was created, sent, received, and updated. This audit trail is what you can rely on for your compliance records, and it remains completely unchanged before, during, and after this certificate update.

Where does the certificate fit in? The technical certificate serves as a secondary, supporting layer of security which certifies that invoice contents haven't been altered.

Note: This update applies to the current French regulatory framework, before the upcoming mandatory e-invoicing reform (pre-PA) comes into effect.
